The painting is divided into four sections of two alternating images. Each section uses different color schemes. From the inner square section to the outer section, the color schemes are as follows; Complementary, Analogous, Tertiary & Tints, and finally Monochromatic.

I grew up in Saudi Arabia and wanted to incorporate their culture. I chose a photograph I took of an Arabian souk (bazaar) in Dubai. For the second image, I selected succulents as emblems of resilience and quiet growth.

There is a dense, almost velvety texture in the succulent depictions and a sharp, almost metallic quality in the surrounding blue structures. It’s a contemplation of nature contained within a structured, man-made environment. The juxtaposition creates a sense of mysterious harmony between the organic and the geometric, inviting the viewer to contemplate the spaces between the known and the unknown.
